Notepad++ is the best text and source code editor for my personal and professional work. I have been using this software for a very long time since my college days. I used to do my coding projects and save text files in Notepad++ and I still do coding and write text in Notepad++. This software has so many great features and tools for users.

Notepad++, a professional notepad that works with all Microsoft Windows OS, is an alternative to the popular notepad. With Notepad++, we can unfold and manage large documents quickly and efficiently. The core functionality is outstanding, highlighting, searching, and replacing. It supports many languages and data types such as XML, JSON, and HTML. Notepad++ can store large log files. It is useful for writing and copying code. This application has a small install footprint. It takes up little space on my drive and loads very quickly. Developers use it to create and consume software and large text files. It is ideal for opening large files, which often causes text editors to lag. It's my preferred text editor.

Notepad++: The King of Text Editors
As a free, open-source product, Notepad++ is being used on an ad-hoc basis. There is a large number of IT users who rely on Notepad++ for their daily use. It allows us to easily resolve issues with EDI files and identify problems with files sent or received. It is also excellent for reformatting files or performing advanced find and replace functions with its native regex capabilities.

We are using Notepad++ for writing coding or to validate syntax for VBS, SQL etc. Also validate the binary input files. It is a very easy application for file read and write in any format.

- Selecting a programming language should provide user with Auto fill syntax and validation with respective programming language.
- Should get in mobile with Dark Mode.
- Option to save in Google Drive or any storage where the files can be accessed anywhere.

Notepad++ Review
Notepad++ is being used by almost everyone in the organization as it is the best tool to keep our data for a quick reference. One can use it as an IDE tool for almost 60 languages and scripts which makes it a one-stop application to use any language. The autosave option is also one of the best reasons.
- Free and takes less amount of storage in order to install it.
- Code auto-complete and syntax highlight works for almost all the languages that it supports.
- Copying or cutting the data based on the number of characters in a row is also great.
- Lots of plugins available.
- Only text data can be saved unlike Microsoft One Note where we can paste the screenshots or any other format files along with the source links.
- It hangs while dealing with a large amount of data.
- The user interface is not so appealing. It would be great if Dark mode also available.

Notepad++ is so much more than a text editor!
I use Notepadd++ for everything from taking a few notes, to using it as a full web-code editor. It is so versatile.
- Easy to use.
- Expand it using plugins.
- Plugin admin could be easier to navigate.
- Dark-mode (which is very popular) should exist.

A little editor to do great things
The use of Notepad ++ is free for any of the sectors, we use a lot to see the issue of text formatting (even removing formatting), making some adjustments to web application source code or even taking notes, already Even without saving the document we can close the application and when reopening we do not lose what is written.
- Change the file charset type, ISO to UTF-8
- Check position and spacing in batch or csv files
- Bulk editing in column mode
- Search and replace multiple files with one term
- Have native access to version controllers like GIT, executing their commands inside Notepad ++ itself
- Auto save file, avoiding the need to use the save command (I miss it when I'm programming in Notepad ++)
- For programming the coloring of the language used helps visually but it would be nice to debug the application or at least the unitary texte of the file natively when choosing the language. I use it a lot to edit PHP and Python files
- Include in the language some frameworks like CakePhp or Django

Simple notepad with extra functionality
Notepad++ was the first light code editor I've used. Previously, Eclipse was the best option for code editing (and compiling) for small stuff; then Notepad++ showed up. It was first just a more advanced Notepad, but they kept adding new functionality to it. Now it's mostly used for quick edits, converting code between different encoding.
- Very small, fast loading. working very fast
- Built-in code formatting for major languages
- Encoding and converting
- No folder view for entire projects
- Updates process is very outdated, you basically do fresh installation to overwrite existing application
- UI is very outdated
